is 500whp achievable with stock head ???
my setup :
b18c1 block , JE 9:1 (81.5mm) , built bottom end , stock head , hks cam gears
t3/60-1 turbo , JG manifold , overbored throttle body
standalone computer

your gonna want to do at least valvesprings and retainers. At the boost level and rpm's your gonna need to run to achieve 500whp those springs are definitly gonna need to be beefed up. Other then that, a mostly stock head will get the job done.

to make 500 out of an LS head you are definitly going to need cams. oversized valves wouldn't hurt either. vavlesprings/retainers too. the right sized turbo is really the trick though.

Yup. Chris knows. Thats my problem now, I need cams to hit that 500 whp mark. LS head doesnt flow all that good--it would help to have the ports worked on.

yeh plenty of people run 1bar on stock springs/retainers. after 1bar is the point where most people reccomend upgrading, or for revving higher.
