why is my tial .45 spring running 9lbs.?
i bought this spring and it's suppose to be like 6.5psi and when i get on it...my gauge stays right around 9 psi. Any ideas why this is? could it be my boost gauge(autometer) or what? thanks
thats funny, i had the same prob on my setup. i had the green tial spring wich is supposed to be like 6.5 lbs. and my car boosted like 10psi with open downpipe. it was on a drag gen III manifold and on a b16

i believe the green is .65 bar = 9.5 psi.
red is for a fact .45 bar (6.6psi)
I'm to lazy to research it but if i remember correctly i have the green spring in my wg........Yellow is .35 bar......
......i remembered.....
Your confusing bar with psi

you may be experiencing boost creep. I've heard of a lot of people having boost creep with drag manifolds. I have a drag manifold but no boost creep......go figure.....2psi is common from what i understand
i guess thats possible......i have never heard that but the only thing is it was stable boost, just not what it should have been, i thought boost creep was unstable boost?? or with the drag manifold would the boost creep be consistent with a few psi?

If you feel bad about that, my .3 bar spring is boosting 13psi.
damn wastegate just doesn't want to open.

****, it seems as though I sold a guy a .65 bar spring thinking it was .45 bar. Oops. Well, I went down from there to the yellow .35 bar, and now I think I'll be happy in the middle with the .45 red one on the way!

I wasn't born as an English speaking person either. I learned it pretty quickly, though.
Nice work Bottoz, that's great information!
