Default best valvetrain setup for turbo?

I did a search but turned up nothing. What is the best valvetrain for a gsr motor with turbo pushing over 400hp? I plan to have the motor daily driven but with occasional track runs.

Thanks JOHN

That's exactly what I have had in my car for over 2 years now and to me it's the best. One night , after leaving the club, I just punched it going down the freeway and while trying to race a bike I bounced off my rev limeter in 5th gear twice. My heart stopped, and everything held up great. This was on 11lbs of boost. It's not cheap as Crower, and not to knock Crower, but do a search and see what feedback yo get on there valve train.
Ferrea

From what I have been reading that ferrera was the way to go. Should the valves be dished for the turbo setup? As well are we talking SS valves and if so will they last without having to get new bronze guides?

Ive always read on here that the GSR cams are better for turbo than the ITR ones? I dont know for sure but thats just what ive read off of HT. Ive also heard great things about ferrea. Good luck.

as far as itr vs gsr, good question.. i would like to see dyno results with the same car and jsut a simple cam swap with no other variables.

yes. ss valves..id try to run a "flat" valve..i think it would help the combustion chamber to have a "smoother" roof. i am no profesional, thats jsut my opinion.

They say your speedometer is not accurate past 100mph, mine was past the 140mph mark when I ran out of gear so I would like to assume 145mph?

I went with the following.

Port Flow inner valve springs
ITR outer valve springs
Port Flow titanium retainers

If I were to buy valves they would be .5 oversized Ferrea valves with bronze valve guides. Good luck.

Hey if I get .5 oversized valves will that effect the driveability of the motor or will it just allow the head to flow more?

wont effect drivability, and head will flow more...i guess it might make a slight differance on low end when crusing, but that is not why you are making your car fast...so i wouldnt worry about it

I will be running stock ITR valvetrain on my setup. The only thing I might change is to Ti retainers.
