I would like to know what the signs a distributor gives when it goes bad. Poor starting, sudden stalling while driving, car wont start at all?

My car has fuel, I need to check for spark when cranking but once I get the car turning over, it runs normally with some stalling/ sputtering. Once running, It does have spark, etc.

I did a diagnostic resistance test to the coil, the primary is a little high at .9 ohms and the secndary is 12.6, on the low end of the scale. Normal primary resistance should be between .6 and .7....

 

when your car doesn't turn over. i have blown at least 8 of this on my b16 in less then 2 years. i know. cost too ******* much too. now i got msd blaster coil, that **** should never blow.

 

If you push start the car, it will run normally right?

Found the cause!!!!!!!!
On the ignition coil, there is a tiny spring the is in contact with the cap. It got bent when I installed a new cap thereby causing bad contact to the coil. What out for this guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!
