They make a skinny one...

Probably not the lightest of the bunch, but lighter than stock.

If you can't read it: "powersonic"

I kicked a$$ on this post.

The yellow-top is sealed, but not lightweight.

Here's a link for you:

Take out your A/C, lose your beer belly, and take a dump = weight reduction.

I'd say they last longer... dry-cells usually do.

I have thought about getting a lightweight battery, but I don't want to give up the "comfort" of the oem battery - something I never have to worry about. Will one of these lightweight batteries (like the TypeOne) have any issues that will make them more of a pain in the *** than they are worth (not starting the car on the first turn for example)?

i have the soon battery with the mounting bracket and it is very light compared to oem. life span on it is good. starting does take a bit more juice. i tend to crank the starter a little longer than an oem one. the spoon battery didnt hold charge for too long. i left the car untouched for a week and had to jump. performance is the same except on the CCA spoon took a tad bit longer to start up but once it was running voltage measured sufficient. I did notice that my headlights were a little dim until i revved past 1500RPm with the spoon. i switched back to oem size due to lack of usage of the car.

here is a hawker gensis battery. its 69.95 minus the 10% discount code.

http://www.gotbatteries.com/Pr...2007

"There is a 10% discount code that should be used during checkout called VMAX . This code needs to be entered in the view cart window using the 'Discount' button."

and if you plan on using your stock connections get these cool looking brass terminals.

For what it's worth, I've been using the T1R battery for over a year now on my daily driven car in Vancouver weather conditions. The car starts up immediately everytime.
