When I bought my 92 si the power steering pump had already been removed and the lines were left on. When I blew my motor I removed the lines and plugged the holes. Lately it has been getting harder and harder to steer when not moving? I am assuming that it prob needs oil even though it is not power anymore? Does anyone know? And if so what oil should I put in it or should i put power steering fluid in it?

Construct a loop where the original lines were, and add PS fluid to the rack.

 

do I then have to leave the line connected or once I add some fluid I should be good? Then I can recap off the holes?

Ultimately I think that might be the best way to go.

 

Yeah after reading the first link I am thinking alot cheaper to go to junkyard and get a manual rack.
