Basically you need to secure the shifter to the floor with bolts etc.. and you also have to cut the hole bigger to make the prelude shifter fit nice. Then just in front of the center bracket for your dash you need to make another hole like 1.5"x3" for the cables to go through.

Hope that works

and here's pictures of mine:

I drilled the shifter holes a little too big because I wanted to make sure the shifter assembly was flat on the center of the chassis. I have sealed them up, though.

Unfortunately, I can't find the other pictures I have of the mounted shifter assembly. I can get those pictures though.

I don't believe that is. But that shifter assembly looks different being plastic.

Is there anything good about it, compared to not using it?

Not sure what you mean......But I do like being able to shift gears

(If you swap an h22 into a civic...then that is what you gonna have to use)

Well.....I am sure that the shifter that I have is only one of the many variations that honda made. I have seen the accord ones, and they look to be made out of metal....etc...

When i ordered my motor from Steve at HMO, he asked if I wanted Plastic or Metal shifter assembly, I asked him what the difference was exactly...and he pretty much said the plastic assemblies usually come with OBDII motors. So I guess that's 96+?
