the biggest thing i miss about OBD1 is the fact that i could unbolt the cat at a racetrack, and the motor wouldn't throw any codes.

The blue box is good enough.

I am planning on using the blue box for a while and then maybe switching to a better setup once i up the boost. I'm sure i will never have enough $ for hondata, but if I was doing something like an fmu setup with a vafc hack would that require obd1? sorry for the questions. I'm new at all this stuff.

They've been but, who the hell has 600 dollars to dump on a OBDII chip?

Especially when you can get a Hondata tunable ECU for less. OBDII chips will never be "common"

Blue box gets the engine to throw a code once in a while (@ least on GSR's). Hondata is the best way to go for the money.

I ran the blue box and a VAFC for awhile, the VAFC after the blue box to tune what it was putting out, then i got rid of the blue box, then i got rid of the VAFC in favor of the blue box, then i just dumped them both. boost is such a headache, but when you finally get it tuned well, it's bliss.
