Default Short throw shifter opinions

I am thinking of getting a short throw shifter such as a B&M. What are the advantages/disadvantages? Any opinions would be appreciated.

I have the STR shortshifter in my car, and when I first put it in it was night and day. I love it.I dont really notice it anymore but if one of my friends sit in my car there like damn! thats close. Shifting is a breeze and its height adjustable....just make sure you use threadlock.my 2 cents

i had an LSR shortshifter in my old '00 civic si and i loved it as well, the feel was great . . . BUT, you really have to pay attention every time you shift, because sometimes i got lazy in traffic and i'd try to 'toss' it into gear (like you can do with the stock shifter), and GRIND! so, they're nice, but pay attention.

haven't decided on getting one for the R yet.
