I heard nothing but bad things about short shifters. All my friends that have them, wish they never would of installed it. And think about it...does it really help out that much?? not really

do the GSR 's not come as standard with short shifter, all JDM integra Si's came with them as standard, i couldnt go back now to long throw shifters!

I think most people here will say they've had no problems with them. I can't stand the feel of stock Civic/Integra shifters. My $40 shifter works great, nice shift feel, and shorter throws than a Miata 6-speed shifter.

Yep, I drove a Camry 5-speed for 5 years, which had a cable shifter, no side-to-side movement of the shifter when in gear. Stock Honda shifters have a rubbery feel to them, you can move the shifter side-to-side when in gear. My short shifter plus poly bushings helped eliminate most of that feeling (mostly the shifter, bushings made only a slight improvement).

haha they invented a hacksaw for a reason 
Just cut an inch off the top of it. Thats what I did and it made a pleasant difference.
