MY CEL went on, I jumpered the plug hanging up above the ECU, then turned the ignition on. No blinking. Doesn't the light just come on regularly to try to get people to take it in to the dealer? That the little button under the dash (driver's side) you use to reset?

 

is it the "check engine light" or the "maintenance required" light?? because if it is the check engine light and you jumpered it correctly, it should flash telling which code your getting.... the little button underneath resets the "maintenance required" light. hth
