my low fuel light doesnt go on anymore.. what can be the problem?

 

It could just be that the bulb is burned, I have one off a da if you'd want it, check the part #.

 

I have the same problem on my 98 LS. I have checked the bulb and it is still good, what else could be the problem?

If the bulb is OK, then you go back to the sender in the gas tank. Unplug it, get a Helms manual to see which wires to jumper; if that turns on the light then your wiring is OK. That leaves the sender itself. Take it out of the tank & check it out with a DMM.

 

Maybe you're not out of fuel yet. Keep driving to confirm.

Thats what I did when I though mine was out..haha

It worked...b4 it used to go one when it was a 1/4 left..now it goes on only when its the very last drop!

and get stuck in the middle of nowhere

i fill the tank up every four days just in case the bulb actually is burnt

 

is it easy to take out the sender? is that what makes the light goes on..i alway thought it was some kind of floating thing in there.
