What tool do I need to remove 02 sensor?
when i ran over a fireheidrent wit my prelude the mechanic had to use a special tool that had an opening on the top to fit over the sensor. iono bout ur case.
22mm open-end wrench, although if you can get the closed-end over it, that's even better to use. 6pt is better than 12pt in this case, but not necessary.
I don't recommend using an oxygen sensor socket b/c the socket is difficult to keep seated properly while trying to bust it loose.

I don't even own a 23mm box wrench or anything beyond 19mm (except that 22mm). I remember that 22mm is the size I used for the oxygen sensor and tie rod jam nuts.

all of the oxygen sensors i have pulled out were 22mm and the backpressure tester i use has a 22mm fitting on it. i don't know exactly for your application, but i say to go with the 22mm.
theres a special socket for the O2 sensor, not neccessary but convenient. Like the other guy said, you probably want to bust is loose with something else first tho.
So I guess the dam thing is pretty tightly held down. I don't have access to a impact guy, that's for sure. Would a pipe work, if I put the wrench int he pipe and then go to loosen it up?

I just use a box-end wrench, after soaking in PBblaster. I've got the socket, but its harder to use because there's no room. There's barely enough room to feed the wire thru the opening of the wrench. Sometimes they're easier to get out if they're good & hot from driving.
