ARC Intake pipe and Chamber
did you have a chance to test it. I "hear" that it is good because you have more volume of air to work with, and it offers a little more torque.
no i havent had any experience with it, but in an article where they tested a b16a with and without the ARC Induction box and ARC Pipe they lost power with it. Simple physics can explain this......
i have heard that vs the AEM CAI the ARC has better pull low and mid range but lags on top end. but this was from a guy that had just the box and used the stock rubber piping on a EG6. i am gonna try it too but i'll try it with the chamber as well and see if that helps any.

definatly the low and mid range is improved....which is perfect for gymkhana or auto-x but for drag racing there is nothing, better then AEM or Iceman cold air....
how do i know cause i had one....its been sold last week...
i'll have a dyno of my EG6 very soon ARC vs HKS vs no filter

Anyone know the Pro/cons of the ARC intake pipe and chamber? Besides the fact that it's expensive.
I wonder if my cat would **** in the ARC intake?
Boba- whos cat doesnt use the litter box anymore, just the toilet.
Boba Dont let your cat **** on my ARC
I have the ARC setup and will be testing it with a Highly modded engine with Spec C's and lots o headwork, I will compare it to a comptech shortram and maybe an AEM

The ARC box and "pipe" combo are definitely more geared toward real racing rather than strip racing. The increased midrange is designed to pull you out of the turns. I would love to test one of these, although it is very hard to test intakes on a dyno vs real world gains/losses. Plus, she is no cheap. Not all of us have big bucks like Mikey....LOL!
What makes you think i have tons of money to spend this ?http://www.itrca.com/registry/index....mber=75&car=62
I can (finally) reply, now that Earthlink decided to fix its outage in ATL.
Having actually TRIED BOTH THE AEM & ARC, albeit in different Sis, I would make these observations:
1) The AEM definitely gives you more "bang for the buck." No argument there. However, my seat of the pants impression is that the ARC has equal or better midrange and the POTENTIAL for better top end power, assuming you utilize bigger cams, high-flow header, etc.
2) The ARC has the kind of build quality that AEM can only dream of.
3) The ARC has no chance of hydrolocking (unless you submerge the car) and no need for that POS bypass valve.
4) The AEM is loud at WOT, the ARC is LOUDER
It sounds like an industrial strength vacuum cleaner IMO. Good or bad, depends on your point of view.
Whether or not you deem it wise to spend $$$ on an intake is up to you. I chose the ARC for its aesthetics and tuning potential. The AEM is a fine piece that performs its intended task. I just don't like that bypass valve - it just seems so half-assed to me.
You could make a similar argument with the C's Short Stroke Shift; it's a definite improvement, but is it worth almost $300? It's highly subjective.
