Default Intake Pipe

Has anyone tried the Ractive intakes of ebay. A guy is selling just the pipe. I was thinking of getting that and then getting one of those Apexi filters which are suppose to be good. What do you think? How good are those pipes, will they be a lot worse than say AEM?

a pipe is a pipe....the only part that matters is the filter...i would suggest a k & n filter....is the pipe short ram or cold air? that will make a difference....car air will have slower throttle response...but it will be bettercuz of the colder air brought into the engine...

Yessir, a pipe is a pipe...unless it's plastic or it won't fit....

that was a good article, but i am more interested in the pipe. Among the leading intake manufaturers, which intakes sound good? Also, how great is the heat dissapation ability between ebay pipes and the usual ones? Also, if i were to get an ebay pipe would you suggest getting that Ractive V2 style pipe or a regular short ram pipe?

sound? sounds the same to me

if you are worried about heat i believe you could coat it. but i wouldnt be too worried about it.

and last, i say a pipe is a pipe. don't worry about it so much.

You can just paint the pipe with heat resistant paint which you can buy from AutoZone or some other auto part store. I did that with mine, and it worked just fine
