How to tell auto from manual PG7 ecu?

Default How to tell auto from manual PG7 ecu?

How do you tell the difference? Does it even matter?

it will give a CEL of 19 which is Lock-Up Solenoid Valve.

This is from Hondata.com

"Automatic ECUs are designated with a 5 as the second to last digit in the bar code (after the 'A'). e.g. 37820 P28 A51. "

I believe the 5 speed ecu's end with an 8. My old crx si ecu ended with A080.
So 5 auto, 8 standard. Please correct me if im wrong

the car will run fine with a code 19 drove for months like that with my ZC, hell the car did its best NA time with that ECU...

your wrong i followed these directions when buying my pg7 and the one i bought doesnt even have a 5 in it anywhere and it was an automatic but i got it for 50$ and it still works but now i get cel 19 all the time

I thought ECUs said "A/T" or "M/T" on them. I thought I remembered seeing that.

not all had them
