just wondering if anyone has changed from a built in wastegate to a external wastegate?? is this hard.. or do you simply remove the arm and unplug the hose and connect that hose to a external wastegate on the manifold?? if possible does anyone have any pics of this process?

just weld the flapper shut so it doesn't open or buy a plate to block the hole off. It's easy to do.....

 

you will need a new turbo manifold made for external wastegate, a new turbo with new downpipe and refit the charge pipe and an external wasetgate with a dumptube preferably routed back into your exhaust stream 18 inches after your turbo.
