check engine light
i have a check engine light that is on and i don't know what to check. all my fluids are good. all i can think of is that it is a o2 sensor.if it is how much do they cost?
you must pull codes first....just jump the obd plug located under your dash by the glove compartment....i believe it is a blue wire and a blue/green wire......stick a paperclip in the plug, start your car, and read the pattern of flashes that the CEL gives....for example, 7 short flashes means a code 7, which equals a bad TPsensor...good luck, and let us know if you have any more questions
You don't have to start the car just turn the key like if you were going to start it. If the flashes are long it means 10 but if they are short it means 1. For example four long flashes and 1 short it means your primary o2 sensor is bad. Hope that helps
i found out what it is.it is a catalyst below efficiency. i think it is a prob. with my catalytic convertor, but the guy had a hand held comp. and erased the error and if it comes back ill know what it is. thanks for the help
