how do i fix this? the wastegate is hitting the block, and preventing me from mounting the turbo and manifold on... i have a t3 off a saab internally wastegated...what would I have too do too run an external wastegate? or could I somehow move the internal wastegate??oh, right now i am running a hf manifold with some sort of adapter...would a different manifold help me??

 

You can either run a different manifold.
Run thicker (such as Mr.Gasket copper-seal) or more gaskets (ghetto)
Grind the webbing on the block, if that's where it's hitting? I had to take a ****-load off of mine and it's still touching...my solution will most likely be a different turbo when I have the time/money.
Or you can use an external wastegate. To do this you will need a place to attach it to the manifold (might be easier to get a different manifold) and will have to use a downpipe that blocks off the internal wastegate port.

 

yeah i had to grind my block too and im using an external wastegate. sucks but it worked

 

what internal wastegate "port"?? I only got one hole from the exhaust housing that I can see..

 

take the part that is connected to the exhaust housing off (should be three bolts) then you will see the wg hole and flapper....
