I replaced the radiator on this crx. The previous owner said a shop told him he needed it and by looking at the old one I'd say yes. He also put a new cap and thermostat.

I followed all directions and it still is running hot. Not as hot as it was before. But the needle is 3/4 of the way up. It won't creep up until I drive it for a couple of minutes. It will sit in idle without going above the half way mark for a while no problem. The fan comes on like it should, I don't see any leaking anywhere.

How sensitive are these models to correct mixture of coolant? I don't see any signs of head gasket failure. If the system isn't bleed correctly could it cause it to heat up?

Thanks, I'm a holding out hope that it's not the head gasket.

 

water pump?

 

The water pump was supposed to be ok, accrording to the shop the PO took it took. They said he needed a radiator.
