Don't ask about the HP stuff (I'm either A. sponced by HP, B. Obsessed with HP or C. Both A and B Combined).

What do you think of this LS/VTEC setup? What would you change/modify/add?

I'd be happy with 180whp.

Type Rs are find for my application. No need for me to spend all those extra dollars on the spec Bs, won't get enough the gains for the $$, don't have the money or fasilities to dyno tune them..

keep it commin'

I don't know about he HP headers.... haven't heard the best stuff about them over here (made in FL). But WHO CARES !! The setup sounds SWEET !!

I intend on going LS/Vtec some time in the future (running a B18B1 now)

I'll buy the setup off ya !

Did you already have it installed ? How does it pull ?

Nice setup- only thing i'd change is the " 4-2-1 " headers to "4 - 1" perhaps the JDM 4-1

If I were you, I would not go with the GSR ecu. One guy at Dynamics recommnded a p28 ecu while another guy there recommended a GSR ecu. The guy who recommended the GSR ecu told me to trust him, it is a good ecu for my LS/VTEC set up. I ended up getting a GSR ecu and I put it in. I had the car tuned with that ecu and it was like 170. The only problem was that the check engine light was always on. I do not have a knock sensor in my car and my spedometer is cable driven instead of electrical. I have sisnce then spoke to many people who highly recommend the p28 over the GSR ecu, just get the P28 programmed to fit your car. Other than that, I think you will be running strong with the set up you have chosen

Is the P28 a mugen program?

I'll need a VTEC ecu correct?

since u'll be using a b16 head, ditch the gsr ecu and get a b16 ecu, p28 ecu reprogrammed for dohc vtec -- mugen program/skunk/whatever, or an ITR ecu. if ur OBD1 just go with the first 2 ecu's that i mentioned -- these are just suggestions, there's more combos that i can dish out but it'll take too long for me discuss it.

anyway, the reason that the GSR ecu is not "suitable" for ur setup is due to that fact that u don't have secondaries. a reprogrammed p28 would be good for ur setup (b16 head).

lates.

I hope you are not obsessed with HP. I only say that because I am a distributor (well was) and was not even close to pleased with the quality of crap they sent me when they began. I can say for sure the junk was not safe to put on as suspension, let alone to use as a paper weight. If they have improved then by all means enjoy. If not, I wish you the best with their crap.

LOL, i'v changed the following things:

HP Intake manifold ----- to ------ Type R manifold
HP 4-2-1 Headers ----- to ----- JDM Headers maybe?

I'll keep the HP intake.. no sense changing it to AEM not worth the $$ to me.
