will a pr3 ecu run a d16 si motor
I want to use Hondata and I have a ecu extra. I want to know if I can run on the baby cam on the pr3,pwo ecu to run a d16a si sohc. Please let me know. I am boosting 10 psi and I want to tune it. I have stage 4, s200, wide band. I just need an ecu that I can tune.I dont see why it would not work?
It will run it but it will run like crap. The check engine light will come on and will read several codes. the PR3 ecu looks for the vtec, and knock sensor.....and when it doesn't see these....walla check engine light on.

i agree it will run like crap, sell the pr3, and buy a pm6 that was made for the motor.

I wouldn't suggest a PR3/PW0, in this case I get a OBD1 ECU such as P06. its a SOHC 1.5l and non-vtec and hondata has stage 1&2 for it. Why run a V-tec ECU on pre-tec?? Just my 0.02

sorry no dice, nothing on the market like that at this time for any OBD-O computer. Ghettodyne is supposedly making his program for boost. I suggest running a chip and a feul controller for now. Make sure it is tuned on a dyno with wide band O2, so you get the fuel mixture right. And turn down the boost to 7.5, your gonna cook that motor.
