Default Turbo charging a D16A6

I am thinking about Turbo Charging my D16A6 I know the kit I am going to use and how I am going to do this. I am going to run about 6 psi and I need to know that if I start cranking out numbers in the 170 whp if I am going to start breaking transmissions, axles, or rods. So what parts do you suggest me replacing if I decide to go that route. So if anyone can give me info on this I would greatly appriciate it. Thanks, Zach

race when you have to and drive when you have to drive.
dont beat on it every stop light the car can only handle so much.

So as long as I don't pop the clutch and crap, all the stock components should hold up? I want to get some turbocharging experience before I get a B18A and turbocharge that.

Fuel is important. Be careful to have the right amount.

I have a boosted JDM D16a6 there called ZCsohc's the internals are ok up tp about 200 -220 whp but you don't want to run that kind of power through it everyday, at 170whp which is what I make at 8psi you should be fine you will need a good clutch and make sure you get it tuned properly DYNO time.. If you have specific questions ask them.

What kind of stuff can I do with fuel management? I would probably put in the Eclipse injectors, but do I need anything special to run them? Would my ignition timing be off at all becuase of Turbo charging?

If you only want to run 6psi just use an FMU you will be fine if looking for higher boost levels then check out the HT hack or http://www.hondata.com PM Hatchblack he will tell you what you need to know about the Hack

The hack does also work with a safc. Many friends with LS turbos are running this setup and 12+psi. Very good IMO. Just make sure its done right.

I myself doing a homemadeturbo, and I'm planning to run 5-6 psi daily use/7-8 psi track use.

Here are some parts that i got so far:
2nd G DSM t25 turbo
STD manifold
1G DSM side mount intercooler
2G DSM BOV (free) lookin for a 1G BOV though
I just order my adapter plate too

Parts that i still need:
Pipings
DSM 450cc injectors
SMC fuel management
Oil lines and fittings
DP 2.5"
Boost and A/F gauges

See sig. I run a Hondata, DSM 450cc injectors and a walbro 255 for fuel... I have it tuned to a 12:1 a/f, timing is pretty conservative. EGTs havent gone past 700C.
