I'm planning to make a new turbo kit. I was wondering how good a t3 super 60 would be for my application. I going to use a custom log type manifold so i need an internal wastegate. It's going to go on a d16z6 w/srp pistions and eagle rods. I plan to run 12psi street and 15psi track. What do you guys think.

 

WAAAAAAY to big. It would work on one but def not ur application. A T3/T04B would be about perfect

you are thinking about the T04e 60trim which could be considered to big. The T3 super 60 however is still in the T3 family and should be a great little turbo for a small displacement mid power producer. It comes with the internal gate that you said you needed its a nice choice for a responsive setup for a daily car in traffic.

i see that you are selling the T25 setup so this T3 will be on the same car right? if so you will notice alot less top end drop off, your midrange wont be as overspiky meaning too much torque down low to light tires up on a 3,000rpm throttle stomp. It will be there but a little later in the power band.

i had a T25/T3 60 on my nissan 1.6L.....its not that big of a comp wheel. it was a good match for a street car as there was very little lag.

cool thanks guys. Yeah this will be going on the same car. I just dont know if i want to spend $600 for the turbo tho. Oh well we'll see.

 

I know its not a great thing to compare it to but my buddy built up a rabbit with a Super 60 and his quickest time was 11.9 and it made like 360 hp(22psi I believe with internal wastegate) on pump...the car was pretty light....you could pick up the back bump and move it around yourself it was that light....its a dub so Im sure you can get somewhere in that range

 

$600 for this ???

 

what do you think would be better a 16g for the dsm's or the super 60.
