Installing Nitrous Express Questions!!!!!!!
Ok I started a NX Direct Port install today on my 2000 Honda Civic Si, and may have gotten in a little over my head. So I have a few questions and I got to get this finished tomorrow so any help would be greatly appreciated.
1. I got the NX direct port and the GENX2 upgrade, where is the best place to get power for the system from: bottle heater, arm, and other things?
2. When I took the intake manifold off there was like gummy **** in the intake tubes. Dark black stuff and it was worse in 1 and 4. The injectors were also quit dark. I always use 93 octane and have regular oil changes, and the car was stock until now. It has just over 34,000 miles. Is this normal?
3. Where is the best place to run the nitrous line from the bottle to the engine compartment? The bottle will be mounted behind the driver seat.
4. The GENX2 upgrade comes with a fuel pressure safety switch, where does this go and does anyone have any pics?
5. I want plugs that are 2 degrees colder, any one know the NGK plug number?

6. Any pics of their install would help greatly, doesn't have to be NX, specifically the micro switch, where the fuel T goes, and pics of how the Direct Port Lines were bent.
I am a regular at ClubSi, but heard you guys know your stuff and I would probably get answers faster. I really appreciate any help I can get on these issues.

hey the nx kit is pretty much like my nos brand kit. the micro switch should go on a brackett on the trottle body so that the linkage hits it. also i would run the line to the bottle through a hole in the firewall and under the carpet around the driverseat, so it doesnt get stepped on or anything. run the heater wires along side the line. and get the power to the arm switch & heater from the fuse box either inside engine compartment or inside under dash. each one should have battery voltage coming into it. i dont know what the gummy **** is. if it is around the tubes its probably gasket otherwise i dont know. but what shot will you run? you only need to run colder plugs if you are running 75 shot or more. you should also consider retarding your timing one degree for about every 70 shout to lowwer chances of detonation. if you have any questions email me or im me i will check the post L8er. good luck. ill see if i can get pics or something.
