does any1 know if a 86-89 integra tranny would bolt onto a d16a6??

i'm pretty positive it'll bolt onto the engine, but won't bolt into the car.

well im tryin to drop a single zc into a 86 hb. mmmmmm how positive are u? and does the 89 integra uses a mid shaft??

oh, if it's going into an 86, then it should work perfectly. the tranny will bolt into that body.

as for the mid-shaft, i'm not sure...

don't quote me on anything though, never tried it to know 100%

I don't think you can do a sohc zc because I think the trans mounts bellhousing is different from the motor and the drivers side mount is on the side where you would need to mount in front of the motor. I know you can do a dohc zc from the 86-87 integra from japan and that bolts in. if you do this I am thinking of trying to switch to a sohc head for more camshaft variations and cheaper parts.

well about the motor mount on the front i can use the stock 86 mount. so wuts the color of the top for the 86-87 jdm zc? i dont think its the black 1 then.

he talks about the swap in that article but then he later says that he hasnt done it himslef. so how sure are u about the diff of the hosings bettween the 86-89 tranny and the sohc block??

the JDM ZC for the 86-87 integra is the brown valve cover.
