d16a1 - what tranny?
I went to swap a d16a1 into my CRX last night and thought that the d16a6 tranny would bolt right up, all d-series trannies bolt to same generation d-series motors right? Wrong!
Anyhow, the back side bolt and bottom starter bolt holes did not line up at all, where there was supposed to be a hole in the motor there was webbing.
What tranny will bolt up to the d16a1? Integra only or are there other alternatives?

Re: d16a1 - what tranny? (mattEG)
Sorry for the bad news but ONLY the 86-89 teg tranny or the hard to find equivalent 1g ZC tranny (NOT the 2g ZC tranny that you usually use for 88+ civic swaps) will work for it. btw who told you that a D16A1 from an 86-89 teg would swap into an 88+ civic??? You should pimp slap the hell outta that *friend*!

Thanks for the reply! I continued researching and saw that it won't even bolt in! Shitty deal! Ah well, I'll bolt it into my 86 civic racecar instead.
Either way, thanks. I will "pimpslap" that bitch. :D
