My car has developed a pretty nasty tick coming from the motor, i think. It speeds up as the RPM's increase. Other than that the car seems to run fine. Compression test showed this...... 200, 180, 195, 195. I changed the plugs when i did the test and the tick was still there. Can anybody help diagnose this or lead me in the right direction? Thanks.

When's the last time you had your valves adjusted? They probably need adjusted

I adjusted the valves about 3 months ago, could it be this bad already?

 

Can you determine where the sound is coming from, I'm talking about if its coming from up top of the motor or the bottom end, if its coming from the bottom end you probably spun a bearing...

That sounds like a symptom of mis-aligned valves.
