What are you using it for?
I think the Del Sol has more potential for SCCA ITS or CSP competition. But the MR2 is a great little car too.

1st or 2nd gen MR2? If it is a 2nd gen, the MR2 is the MUCH better choice. They are great for ES. If not, I would pick the car that is in better condition, cause they will both be fun for autocrossing.
obviously i'm partial to honda's, however the mr2 in e-stock dominates.
mr2 handles better, has better weight distribution, and i think that year comes with a rear lsd. maybe not though...i thought 93,94 comes with lsd.
the del sol is also very nice, but not nearly as competitive in its class.

Im just thinking the MR2 would be harder to work on because of its engine location.
Anything beyond that gets annoying just because the engine is located in a big "barrel"
That being said, it IS a toyota, and the engine is bulletproof with good maintence. In the 4 months since I got my 93 na MR2, I've autocrossed it a ton, amd put over 10,000 street miles on it. It comfortable, makes a nice daily driver, and can haul more than you'd think.
And for autocross competition...there's a nice fairly simple formula thats not THAT expensive and gives your a National caliber car given enough driver skillZ
By the way, is it a hardtop? sunroof? or T-top car? The T-top cars are prone to leak, so make sure and check that out. The other 2 roof styles have no issues.
