the vtec is quick.

but yeah, like any car, they have aftermarket parts and can be made rather fast.

What?? What kind of ******* question is this? Yeah, the del sol S is ******* slow....the del sol DOHC VTEC runs with gsr's and prelude VTEC's....is that slow to you?? It all depends on what you think is fast and what you think is slow....I mean, ****, I personally think if your car is 13 seconds or higher its slow. But hey, thats just my opinion....you might think the del sol S is a ******* rocket...

only del sol i like is the b16a3 equipped one...my friend has one its pretty quick...but he cant hang with my hatch

Your hatches are real great, especially stripped.
But it's _not that much_

And yes, the 99-00 Si weighs a significant bit more than the Delsol VTECs.

Note: No US Honda hatches ever came with B16As.
Delsol VTECs and 99-00 Civic Si's come with quite a few additional accessories that are "more plush" than the baseline models. That's where a lot of the weight is.

Of course a stripped hatch with a swap will be lighter and should have better acceleration.
Then again, you could get a Delsol 'S' (This is the "Delslo" model) and drop a B-series motor in there. You'd be pretty damn close to that hatch.

Too many people say the Del Sol's are too heavy, but yet the DOHC Vtec model is quicker then the 99-00 Civic Si and you don't hear to many people saying the Civic Si is too heavy....
