it works fine, I do it all the time. If it doesn't work, you don't have it wired correctly, because its exactly the same as the 3 bar Hondata sells and the one that GM sells.

Is it part # MSD-2313 (via summitracing), or PN 23131 (via http://www.msdignition.com/200...ensor ). One is on back roder, and one is not

really? the MSD i had did not work with hondata...
i also figured it was a wiring problem, but when i used the one I ordered straight from GM, it worked...
so for me, the MSD did not work...

then the MSD that you had was broken. It's a GM map sensor. It's no different than any other GM map sensor of the same specifications. I use these map sensors on a daily basis

MSD and GM 3 bar look Identical to me. I have both at home (MSD is for a friends car). We compared them last night, and they even have the SAME connector! same size, everything. Gonna hook them up this week and compare voltages on them, but i'm pretty sure they are the same part.

Nope Buick GN is only a 2 Bar, the only GM car to use the 3 bar was the 1989 20th Anniversary Turbo Trans Am. Also John my dad can beat up your dad and leave Ruckus138 alone you big bully!

i'm in no immediate need of a 3 bar MAP sensor, but i am curious to know what part # to look for in the future for when i buy one. i've heard before that the MSD and GM are the same. but i've been told that the Hondata MAP is different than the first 2 (not saying it's true, just what i heard in the past).

so can anyone provide an exact part # for the GM 3 bar MAP sensor so i can check with my local auto supply shop for one?

thanks

Actually I think there was a run of defective MSD 3 bars at one time or another.....thats probably why this thread is posted.
