Mugen valve springs
Could somebody tell if Mugen valve springs increase spring pressure and the exact pressure specs at 11.5 mm. lift on the intake and 10.5 mm. on the exaust?
I ask because rumours say that are rebadged ITR springs.
My engine has 75k miles and going for a p&p I would also refresh valvetrain still running stock cams, but thinking in future to upgrade to some Toda A, Skunk stage 2 or Jun 3.
Since my car sees often long sessions of high rpm (+7000) track or high speed driving, I would upgrade valvetrain to be safer also with stock cams.
I could have good deal both on Toda and Mugen valve springs.
Mugen's result to have same spring rate of stock (145-150 lbs.) at 11.5 lift but to ramp at a different rate for less drag.
Toda v-springs have higher pressure (about 180 lbs.) at stock lift that could be too much for the stock cams and cause premature wear.
What's the advice of the h-t fellows?

If you`re runnning stock cams, you can`t go wrong with stock valvetrain...
We are racing our ITR`s a lot, up to 9000rpm with shorter 3rd, 4th and 5th gear.. stock engine, stock valvetrain, spoon ECU, 35000 race-km... NO problems..
Just filling up oil and washing

My mechanic was involved with racing an ITR during season 2000 of the Australian GTP series and they had fitted a Mugen ECU to their car.... they never touched the springs or cams, with no problems after 2 seasons!!
I've fitted a 'Buddy Club' ECU (with no internal engine changes) and my ITR has no problems revving to 9.5K rpms, with no sign of dramas during lots of VTEC on either the road or track!!

Skunk stage 2/JUN3 = toda springs
