Mugen valve springs aren't that good, Spoon and Todas perform better. Just my .02

Engo, we've had a bad case of an engine blowing up even with mugen valve springs. That's why they're so cheap where we are Generally, better results with Spoon and Todas

Those JUN camshafts are bad ***, they make some crazy power when tuned right but I have seen them break.. I really hope they have re-engineered them because. I rode in a CRVTEC EK that's ran 12.62@107 all motor and it feels strong.. But months earlier i rode in an EK with the same motor setup only with JUN 3's instead of CTR's... That car pulled hard as hell.. Both motors are B20B's bored .50mm over with JE 12.5:1 compression pistons, stock rods, Portflow GSR heads, Skunk manifolds, RC 310's, JUN3's in the first one and CTR's (in the one that ran 12.6), sprockets, and a little different tuning... The one with CTR cams is running an ITR ECU with VAFC and the one with the JUN's had a chipped ECU. Those cams could spin 1st through the end of 3rd on the street. The one with the CTR's can do that but not as crazy. Then the real difference is top end power... It's not as crazy as 13psi on a GSR/EK but it's right up there. That car should have ran low 12's but that motor got totally destroyed when the intake cam shattered... It was partly his fault because they didn't use the JUN valvetrain which JUN recommened but I have seen many other peoples do the samething even with that valvetrain... Good Luck and let us know how it runs.

Forgot to add, when the cam shattered it cracked the pistons and broke the sleeves. I never really thought about it but i just figured that block was fucked. I found out a few months ago that the block had gone out to Golden Eagle so now it has an 86mm bore and same compression pistons. It looked like it was basically gonna be the same setup but nothing is the same without those cams. I don't know if he knows what he is goin to use in it now. He sold that EK body to my friend with his temporary LSVTEC that he put into it just to drive, but my friends pulled it and we dropped his GSR turbo motor into it that was in his 97 HX. He ran it a few weeks ago on 13psi. It ran 12.0@118 which is okay for a GSR that's bored .50mm over on 9.0:1 JE slugs, Portflow GSR head, JG Edelbrock manifold, RC 440's, Revhard T3/T04E hybrid, with a P28 and Hondata2.
