AEM messed up my motor...
I just bought an AEM \fuel pressure regulator, and it was working fine when I got it. I din't do anything to it, just took it out of the box and put it on my rail.
Last night, I tried starting my car and it wouldn't start. Then, the engine locked up!!! I took out the spark plugs and they were soaked in fuel and you could see big puddles of fuel in my cylinders!!! Now, the engine is hydrolocked!!! Fuel was coming out of my turbo and it is in my oil. We took off the regulator and when we disconnected the vacuum line, fuel poured out. We opened up the regulator and found a gasket type thing that looks like it's supposed to be glued down, and it was...but only on half of the gasket. So, the other half was letting fuel from the rail go into my intake manifold via the vaccuum line.
So, I have a lot of lawyers in my family and I'm gonna see what they can do. But that's totally fucked up. I bought an AEM product because it's AEM and I figure they make reliable products, but I guess not...

????? The diaphram if thats what your talking about , is not supposed to be glued down . its held down via spring . and pressure can be let out if spring pressure is too much and can flutter.
I dunno dude, i dont think your FPR did all that , i could be wrong though.
But good, luck, i have never heard of any of the such and im sure they will find a way out of it . but nonetheless good luck

Did you buy the fpr new or used? If it was used, perhaps the previous owner didn't assemble the fpr correctly. However, if it's new, then you should be compensated for any damge on your motor from AEM.
Can you not take the all the plugs out and drain the oil and crank the motor over and that should get rid of the hyrdo lock. I really do not think you have a case if you try and sue them. But I could be wrong. Good luck
That acutally happen to me but it was due to injectors getting suck open and cause it to fill the cylinder with gas. It hydro locked when i was cranking but didn't do any damage to the motor. just blew out all the gas and fixed the problem.
