Default I lost 36 hp!!!

well on friday i went to have my car tuned. We got it on the dyno and when i first had my car dyno'ed back on December 17th, it made 176hp and 147 lbs/ft. well this time it only made 140hp. My number 1# cylinder has 150 compression all of the others have 200. I just had new rods, eagle, and pistons, JE, put in. We are thinking its my valves. What do u guyz think?? and if it is my valves what should i go with??

Your rings didn't seat right possibly?

Was it puffing smoke at high rpms?

Nope, i have been talking to alot of people and it wasnt puffing smoke, we are almost positive that the rings are good. I planned on a leak down, but probably just take it to honda and have them figure it out.

He's running forged pistons with stock sleeves. I already explained to him the reasons to not do this, so yall don't need to reiterate it to him.

I would also say something is wrong if he is aiming for more power NA and he went to the cost of having sleeved his block and put JE Pistons in only to have worse compression than stock. 200 psi per cyl

According to the shop that did my motor said that i would be fine without sleeving the block, they said they talked to Pain in Michigan.

you CAN use forged pistons in the h22 block.... just have to use the right ones and clearance them properly.... i didnt believe it unill a few weeks ago when i met a guy that was running je pistons in a 97 lude w/o sleevs, 25k miles on the motor and it was still fine....

but 200psi per cylinder does suck, i was hitting 235 on my stock jdm h22a...

the only way to tell if it is hte valves is to do a leakdown test
