Everything is hooked up but no boost, any ideas?
OK every thing is hooked up and when in netural, i will open up the throtel body all the way and let it go and I can feel good pressure comming out of the blow off valve. I am truly stumped. I looked for all the leaks in the piping but I can' t find any, and when I take off the pipe from the turbo intake the turbo spins at idle. Any ideas I mean any ideal will help thanks.
I hope I'm not the only one confused by this post
Therumblingteg....slow down take a deep breath and retype you question. But this time try making some sense.
Most cars CANNOT create boost in neutral, go try driving it somewhere and boost, but be careful and don't hurt yourself or your motor now...

Sorry guys, I am just frustrated. It does not make any boost when I drive it. But when I park it and go under the hood and rev the engine and let it go there is a lot of air coming out of the blow off valve, it is obvious that the turbo is making some pressure. But when I drive it and get on it does not make any boost. I can see the propeller spin freely inside the turbo. There are no leaks in or around the manifold or before the turbo. Also the turbo is rebuilt.
You might have blown some intercooler piping off. Make sure all of the piping is CONNECTED TIGHTLY!!! This is ofcourse if you are using an intercooler. Check the vacum hoses for leaks. Tighten up the bov a bit, and see if that makes a slight difference.

I checked the intercooelr hose like a million times. I even sprayed soap water on all the hose just to see if i had small leaks, their was nothing.
wat filter are you using, try running it without a filter and use a mesh or something instead just to pinpoint the prob. cuz i know this was my no boost prob.
sounds like your BOV is stuck open.
if you open the throttle, the BOV should slam shut, when you let off the gas (vaccuum) that will pull open the BOV.
make sense?
I'm assuming your car is running when you do this.

I will try the filter thing tommorow. I didnt want to post this before because I did not want this post to get locked but this is for a nissan.
What kind of kit do you have?
And also where and what are your vacuum connections...
What kind of wastegate are you using? the vacuum hose is connected from the sideport of the wastegate to the compressor on the turbo right?
Any pics or more explanation of your setup is helpful...

im just wondering what wastegate you have...if its internal wastegate, try adjusting the actuation rod...shorter=more boost....
this was one problem that I had
