Need advise on what to buy si civic or si crx!
I have a 01civc ex SOHC V-tec. I have a choice in keeping the 01civic and buying a 91 crx si. Or selling my 01 civic and buying a 2000 honda civic si.WHAT SHOULD I CHOOSE. AND WHY??

huge aftermarket following
can upgrade with newer honda parts
light weight
13 years old and still looks good
if you need a part it wont cost you a ton...lots in junkyards
can put almost ony motor/tranny combo in it
it depends on what you want to do. i like either one. i actually like the 99-00 si, for the looks and the fact that it already has a b16 in it. even though it is a heavy tub compared to the crx. there are lots of aftermarket stuff for this car too, but the good stuff is all mugen, spoon, $$$stuff. any upgrades to this car are gonna cost a bit. another good this is there shouldn't be any rust, and you wont have to deal with anybody elses hackjobs.
i still prefer the crx but i was really looking into getting a 99 si when they came out. but i cant drive a 'bone stock' car and if i bought it i wouldn't be able to upgrade anything.
so i guess after that, my answer is....i dont even know what my answer is? nevermind!
I used to have an '88 CRX Si, and we currently have a 2000 Civic Si (and a 2002 Si as well). Both the CRX and '00 Si are very cool cars with excellent aftermarket support, but there are a few differences aside from the fact that only one can carry more than two people. The CRX is more nimble, but they're getting older by the day, so check for rust in the rear fenders and on the sunroof. That could kill the deal right there. If the CRX is clean and had a good life, it could be an excellent choice. If you need/want something a little new and "civilized" (cruise, power windows, a little better for longer trips, etc.), then check out the Si. Both are excellent choices.
Get a crx and restore it. Make it look new. I like crx's cause they are rare. And get more hard to find every day. 2000 Si's are everywhere and they get cheaper in cost every day. I bet you in 3-5 years they will be 2000 si's on every street! I like the new si's, but i wouldn't want to have the same car as everyone else

crx's are cool...if you want something fast and street legal though, it'll cost you a bit, whether 99 si or 90 si...99 si's are really slow stock....

A CRX is going to cost a lot less then a SI. For the price you are going to pay for a stock SI you could get a mint CRX with lots of extras and then have some cash left over. Like some of the other guys said with the SI you are going to get a lot more luxuries like back seats, a good engine stock, and air bags. Basically for me it would come down to budget.

2000 Si is too heavy and its just a plain civic withh a front tip as far as body goes...The crx is old but damn it sill looks good...also if hondas ever get to be what muscle cars are now then id say a CRX Si will be worth a pretty penny in 10 more years...If i was you id get a CRX Si..use the xtra money you have and do a rebuild on the a6 and put turbo on it or just ado a b16a swap...Just get a clean one that doesnt have any rust holes.surface rust that ca be fixed by just sanding isnt a prob just holes or bad bondo jobs..CRX man all the way..unless you take alot of roadtrips or have kids then a 2000 Si makes more sense
