Default Oil dip stick

I have a Greddy kit on my GSR, my question is what can I do bout the oil dip stick? The little rubber part that seals it keeps melting. Thank you.

Trimming it isnt gonna do anything, it's still gonna melt and won't seal. Thanks anyways.

Buy a new dipstick and bend the metal neck piece so that nothing is touching the turbo manifold or anything else.

HAhahaha Same with me ... u can do two things.

1. Get a new one every 6 months

OR

2. go to http://www.jcwhitney.com and get this, one guy uses it from here and says no more melting .. .let me know.

Wrap it with a small amount of header wrap. Works perfectly and you don't have to wait for it to cool before you grab it. Good luck.

Maybe in your situation that is the case, but w/ mine, all I did was trim/bend and I have no melting or fitment issues anymore.

Gl though.

Thanks FredoSP, im gonna check it out. As for the suggestion to trim and bend doesn't help with the piece that melts which is the green rubber that seals the hole where the dip stick goes (no seal...oil spits out and gets on hot engine and car starts smoking), but thanks anyways.... .
