I bought this like a month ago and its clean and shiny but it has a little nick right under the tial logo.Im wondering if it will affect performance.I don think it will just want to here what you guru's say.

Remember to remove that .orig.jpg crap from the end of the image.

That nick shouldn't affect anything except for the looks.

As long as it didn't pierce a hole through the top portion, it'll be fine. Just stick the wastegate in a vise and remove the allen head bolts. You'll be able to take off the top half and inspect it.

 

Thats what i was thinking,that its just cosmetic but a guy i know said its cracked.I dont see it going through the wastegate though.

 

worst comes to worse, take the cap off and put a tack, inside it, and cover it up with a little paint on the out side.

 

Your best bet is to take the cap off and check if it went completely through, or the opposite side is marred. BUT. judging by the picture you should be ok..
