5 mirror Rear View Mirror
Has anyone installed one on their CRX? Its a long mirror that goes all the way across the top of the window where the original rear view mirror is. Theres like 5 or so mirrors. If you know what im talking about or have one yourself could you give me info on it? where did you buy it? how much did it cost? how did you install it? how well does it work? Thanks.
http://www.summitracing.com they have the 5panel version you are talking about and they also have a 3panel version that clips on to the exisiting rear view mirror. I was planning to get one, but I dont like the idea that everyone behind me can blind me with thier headlights.... dayam bmw's and thier hids.....
dont need to turn head to check blind spots, keeping eyes glued to the stuff in front of the car.... you would understand if you lived in so-cal w/ all the traffic we have....
wow, good info. never thought of glass in my head. now im thinking twice.
Yeah well, in my rex i got a pretty big blind spot. I got sparco seats and i cant recline them and the head rest is pretty big so that dosent help. theres alot of ******* drivers in CA and i need to take precaution. but yeah, thanks for the info!

this ? eww
If you have your driver side mirror. Then why dont you just get those circle shaped mirrors that you can stick onto the mirror. That seems to fix the blind spot problem without having to do much work. You should be able to find those anywhere. Pepboys, autozone, etc. Good luck
The benefit to these mirrors is that they don't change the optics compared to what you're used to. The large convex mirrors like the Longacre mirror are great but it takes some time to get used to the "fun house" effect. I have only mounted to cage halos. I don't think I would trust that mounted to the OEM mirror. The smaller convex mirrors are fine for the OEM mirror and might be a good option.

Yeah, it's called a "wink" mirror. Very 80's style. yeah you can see more around you but when it comes night time and all the headlights of cars behind you will multiply and be a distraction. IMO
i am unsure if you can run the stock mirror with a roll cage.
and when i get my cage, i was going tto run the 3 slot mirror.
yeah its really had to see your blind spots when you are
straped down in your seat. i have harnesses in my car, and
i have to run the slightly lose so i can see my driver side blind
spot.
i think is mirror looks a little dumb, but if you need it, then its
fine. and with a roll cage its good to have!!!

yeah, i was just looking for solutions to my blind spot. I have a rollcage and sparco seats and a 4 point harness, so its really hard to see the spots. are there any other solutions besides the 5 mirror action? i dont care about looks, effectivness is the key in my book.
