Default Broadway Clip On Rear View Mirror

i purchased a Broadway Rear View Mirror yesterday at a local shop for 20 bucks...it is the 280mm version...it seems to shake a little bit more than normal...i am guessing because it is clipped on but i don't know why it would shake at all...anyone else who has them do you experience this? is it not a big deal? i don't find it to be one...just curious why it shakes...

Its going to rattle for the simple fact its attached to the rear-view mirror itself and not the front windsheild....Also the broadway mirror itself doesn't clamp very well to the rear-view (imo)...it is normal for these to do this, thats why i dont have one.

Broadways are the ****. I have been using them on all my cars since '97. I dont know how I lived with out them in the first place. They give you a cleaner & bigger view of your surroundings.

I've had a 270mm for a while and it is great. Not a lot of shaking.

I use a convex broadway mirrors.
I can see the whole right side of my car without turning my head. No blind spot there.

I've got problems with my 300mm broadway tilting down as I hit road bumps or turn the bass up. Has anyone got a suggestion for a good way to stop this from happening? It's annoying readjusting the mirror every 5 seconds.

It's not the Broadway mirror that's shaking, but the entire rearview housing itself. You can take it apart and tighten it up so it vibrates less but regardless (especially with a sub), your windshield will vibrate causing the rearview to vibrate causing the Broadway to vibrate and make the outward image look fuzzy.

On a personal note, I really hate them.... can't see **** with them since it messes up my perception with distances of cars behind me, but that's only in the Civics, CRXs, and Integras. In my NSX, it actually makes the rear view better... go figure

Yeah I'm pretty set on getting a 270mm Flat Broadway, but theres one more choice I have to make:

they sell a Type-A which supposedly "Doubles the brightness of normal mirrors for more clarity especially with tinted windows." Since I plan to have incredibly dark (illegal, somewhere between 5-15%) tints, should I get this 2x Light mirror, or no?
