Good aftermarket engine mounts for my R ??
One of the engine mounts on my R went south and I want to replace the OEM parts with some stronger aftermarket parts. The dealer is willing to install them under warranty if I bring the aftermarket mounts. Which are good for daily driving, x-cross, and the occasional stop-light drag ?? I think the hardest beating will be on the drag.... Any suggestions ??
Try Jimfab or Hasport. I have heard that the ES inserts work well too.

I know ProThane has been around forever and it sounds like they sell quality stuff. What about these "ES" ?? Where can I find more info about them ?? Thanks for the help !
I've been real happy with the Hasport mounts....they are stiff....no more tire hop and the power response to the ground is great. If you can deal with the vibration and noises due to rattling they are a great mod.
(well worth the vibration or noise in my opinion).

I will check .... For some reason I didn't catch on to ES=Energy Suspension... I guess I'm still half asleep from all that racing last night
Thanks for the info..

I've got the Mugens. Definite improvement over stock, but not sure if they're worth the retail price of ~$425. I didn't pay that much for them, but daily drive my car and needed something that didn't rattle my teeth out, but still performed better than stock. They make a difference, but they're not a "must have".
I didn't know Mugen made these things... The price is a killer, like most of Mugen's prices. The little rice-boy inside me sometimes is willing to pay a few extra bucks for the name on the box but $425 is too much ... Is there a particular place you can get them for a good price ??
How stiff do you want them? the prothane are supposed to be stiffer than the ES.
here's a nice little article, check it

Well, I definitely want something better than OEM but I don't want to turn the car into a shaker ... I think ES is looking like the way to go... Mugen is too expensive and Prothane sounds a little too rigid.
