so this weekend i swapped out my b16 block for my ls that got fixed, everything runs great, strong idle pulls hard. the onyl problem is that vtec is not activating.its a 91 ls block with no knokc sensor, chipped p28, vafc. i tryed hookin a 12volt to the vtec solinoid at idle and i can hear it click on butthe lobes arent switching, the funny thing is that im throwin NO CEL. my cel works but it jsut isnt registering a problem. everyhting i cna think of would thor w a code so i am stumped. ideas? im going to pull off the solinoid and check the screen, make sure there is nothing in teh way
please shed light on this!

oil is fine, so is the sending unit

Then I would say the screen.

 

yea, positive ont eh oil, im gonan check teh screen after class, thats the only thing i can think of

update, so i swapped out the vtec solonoid with another, and it works, kinda. with the vafc set at 3k, vtec coem on at 5500, with it set at 5500, it doesnt coem on at all, im stumped, maybe somethign is grounding out somewhere, someone please help!

 

um, i was just about to say check solenoid...but, you seem to have done that leaving me as stumped as you are...all i can say is go back through every connection, keeeep looking.

 

k, fixed it, vafc had been reset, it was set for a 6cly, and the input output was set at 01 01, it runs great, ls vtec 12:1 comp, ported head, lsd and jun 3s, yum......
