Default SLP hood for RSX

material? Composite fiberglass

fuctionality? Fully, heat extractor cool off the headers, intake routes fresh air to air intake

Features included are crush initiators; internal water-control baffles; coated internal mounting hardware; fully-formed and coated air intake grills; unique design with either an integral fresh-air intake scoop for added horsepower and/or hot-air extractors scoops for better under-hood cooling; all trim, drill and bond operations performed on CNC robots; dedicated bonding fixtures; tightly-controlled tolerances ensure an excellent fit to the vehicle for an original looking appearance and ease of installation; molded-in gelcoat finish; dedicated packaging for easy handling, warehousing, and shipping. One available option is for SLP to prep and prime any POWERPRODUCTS hood.

Also available are race ready Tuner version, but is not functional
Two models are available:

TUNERHOODS Hinge-mount (15 lb.) requires hood pins in front.
TUNERHOODS Lift-off (11 lb.) requires four hood pins.
Features will include:

Lightweight single panel hood to be secured in front with custom hood pins.
Specially coated and designed metal hinge mounting hardware. The coating will prevent both the staining of the paint and structural damage due to corrosion and rainwater.
CNC robots are used for all trimming and drilling operations as well as adhesive application.
In-mold gelcoat finish to effectively seal the substrate.

MSRP prices are

SLP Tuner Hood lift off hood requires 4 hood pins (non-functional) 298.71$ cdn
SLP Tuner Hinge mount requires 2 front hood pins (non-functional) 397.75$ cdn
SLP Powerproduct gel coat (functional) 999.31$ cdn
SLP Powerproduct primed (functional) 1294.88$ cdn

Just wanted to highlight the prices are in canadian dollars. Below are prices in US.
MSRP prices are

SLP Tuner Hood lift off hood requires 4 hood pins (non-functional) $197.15
SLP Tuner Hinge mount requires 2 front hood pins (non-functional) $262.51
SLP Powerproduct gel coat (functional) $ 659.55 US
SLP Powerproduct primed (functional) $ 854.49 US

Ducky wucky's hood is functional, it brings fresh air to the airbox but not rain water. Same thing for the heat extractors it sucks hot air hot out from the headers without allowing rain water in. In the description the first two hoods are not functional, which explains why the price is lower.

i like the c-west front bumper.... i dont like the hood though. What did they get cheap and only buy the front bumper without skirts and a rear bumper??? It could never look like a tiburon... its to purty! It definately has the heart of a honda regardless what people might think it looks like!

I understand your debate--but you tell me if this has too much going on?

Pretty smooth to me...but I woudl say the wing would maybe be"too much going on"--but makes the *** of the Z a whole lot better!

but enough about the Z
