PR3 A/T ECU Need Chippers Help
I've been reading up about ecus and hondata says that they convert a A/T ecu to a M/T. Any ideas how this is done. I just got a PR3 A/T ecu with a stock rom and Spoon rom I also noticed that there is a resistor removed. Is that resistor for the A/T lock out switch possably?? So there would be no CEL, right?? Also I've read that the Stock rom suxs for the A/T but would the Spoon rom fix everything so it would run just like the M/T ECU?? This isn't a e-bay rom I got it from a pretty good friend so I trust him on his chips so have no fear about this.
TIA

Well if this may jog your memory. It was in socket R68. Next to the Rom chip. Theres 2 lines of resistors a total of 12, 6 in each row. Thats where it is. This pic is kinda fuzzy but may help.
Rom chip is on the right (upside down) and r68 is semi marked. I also semi marked the other resistors around it

Ack! That could well be a map to my mother-in-law's house for all I can tell. Surely there are some better photos around. Try Hondata's site, they always have some good info on there.
I didn't say it was good. It was just a general reference. For some reason my cam will not take clear picture of this, no matter what I do.
Accually Hondata.com under the downloads has the instructions to convert A/T ECU to M/T. It says move jumper from R68 to R67. Which has been done. Issue solved.
Thanks again

That is a good pic thanks. that exactly how mine looks now. I also have a Spoon Chip, so that should cure rev limit and v-tec differences. thanks for that. and clearing this issue up for me
BTW your from Hyperducktuning.com right or work in conjunction with?? You'll have an order from me in the next few weeks. I'm running a ZIF format so plug and play til I find the one I like the best
