Default Foam Air Filters: Oil

I have a Comptech foam air filter that needs reoiling... how should I go about cleaning and reoiling it? And do I need to use Comptech-branded oil or is there something out there that is cheaper and easier to get?

Thanks,
Ben

Normally you would clean it in a detergent solution like dishwashing liquid. For re-oiling, use a 'filter' oil, not motor oil. Filter oil is stickier and won't settle to the bottom part of the filter.

here is a secret: just use a can of engine degreaser from pepboys.
For the oil, hit up a local motorcycle shop.
