Default Oil for K & N
Is there something else we can use to oil the K & N filter instead of buying their filter charger? How about WD40?

K&N oil is nothing more than DEXRON II ATF. use that and save a bundle. It even smells the same. I have used it on my mustang for about three years now

to clean it fill your sink with laundry detergent and swish the filter around until it comes clean. force the water through it gently, then oil it.
