im trying to finish my b16 and ive ordered two different waterpumps from honda and westbay. i asked both for the 94 delsol vtec(had to emphasise vtec to westbay alot) but both were different size and neither one fit. is it just bad luck or does a 94 delsol vtec fit?

 

They might have sent you a d16z6 sohc vtec water pump because that also came in the del sol.

it should have 22 teeth...

 

u have to mention DOHC VTEC, not just VTEC.
there is a difference.

 

definately mention the dohc vtec, if i dont when i buy stuff i always end up with parts for a d16

 

i told them the it was for a 94 del sol VTEC as in the trim level. i went over the fact that it was different from the s and si several times. neither even knew what a b16 was(even the honda parts guy) i guess ill try one more time but its really pissing me off having to wait and then return then wait. the only reason i went to westbay the second time cuz they could get it the next morning. and also the first one looked like that pic but it was bigger but the second one had some mount coming out the top right(intake side) thanks for the help though.

 

just tell em that you want a water pump for a ITR...!!!! it will solve all your problems...

 

get one from a local parts store then like advance auto parts, or NAPA

 

here's the part number: 19200-P30-003

 

I'm using a '92-'93 Acura Integra GSR (B17A) piece. Part number is as Qfactor listed (for a 1st gen B16A)

oh yeah!! that reminds me! i have a water pump in my trunk!!! couldve just got the part number off of it! (me) oreoz! ...Qfactor

 

This is the reason why I don't order parts for a del sol, I either order them for a 00 si or a integra b series engine.

 

like was said above, make sure you get one with 21 teeth if your getting an integra pump. The LS pumps have 19 teeth if i remember. All the DOHC vtecs have 21.

 

 

um i dunno bout u guys. but all water pumps are the same for b series motors. :>

jus git any b series water pump. ive had a side by side comparison of like 6 different models including type r. all the same ****. not exact. but same teeth on gear. same spindle i guess u call it for the pumping action too. lil differences in teh casing. but all bolt up .

o and i dont mean ls. all vtec b series im sorry.
