I beleive the Del Sol came as the S, the Si, and the VTEC. The S was the base modle, and had a D16 non vtec motor. The Si had the D16Z6 vtec motor. And the VTEC had the DOHC B16A3.

VTEC model? both Si have VTEC the D16z6 and the B16A3, the newer Si comes with the B16 and the older has the D16z6...I think the Si with the B16 started in 97(year with no foglights) but I am not 100% positive because I don't care about Del Sol, so never really cared to know anything about them.

I'm not 100% sure, I know there was a VTEC trim level, and it had the B16. Maybe you're right about the older ones.

yeah the older ones had the D16z6(older Si models) the new del sols(Si models) have the B16...like I said, I think it started in '97 cuz that is the year without the foglights in the front bumper. but someone else on here can confirm the year change with the B16 in the Si.

Actually some 96 came without the fog lights too. And all Si trim had a D16 vtec, the only one that came with a DOHC was the Vtec trim.
