quick question
hey guys my girlfriend is lookin into buying a delsol. she found one that has 90000 miles, and its a 94 vtec model. but it says it has a 1.5 litre, and has 102 hp. this must mean it has sohc vtec, right, meaning its an si. cuz the US spec dohc b16 is supposed to have somewhere around 140- 150 hp correct? tia

Re: quick question (komat)
the s is a d15 non-vtec from 93-94, and the 95-97 were d16 non-vtec. all si's are sohc vtec's. I could be wrong on this one, but it thought the b16 was only from 95-97 in the vtec models, and not available in 94. 102 hp sounds like the d15 non-vtec 's' model.

Re: quick question (IHateJDM)
They had a VTEC in 94, that was the first year it was offered. 92 was skipped completely in the US, 93 was just S & Si.
I concur with what others are saying, if it's not 160hp then it's not a Del Sol VTEC.
A lot of shady places try to claim an Si is a VTEC since it came with a SOHC VTEC engine, but conveniently charge you like it's a VTEC model. And 102hp definately sounds like an S model, I think the 93 Si had 110-something.
